Join us for an enchanting evening of euphonium music featuring the talented Oliver Stark, a Master of Music student under the guidance of Matthew Gaunt and Gene Pokorny. This solo recital is set to take place on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 6:00pm CDT in the Regenstein Master Class Room at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University.

Oliver Stark will perform a captivating program that includes John Stevens' "Elegy for solo euphonium," Gail Robertson's "Rock Hopper," Michael Forbes' "Cosmic Voyage," and arrangements by Oliver Stark himself, including Karl Jenkins' "Benedictus" from The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace, and Philip Sparke's "Pantomime." This event promises to be a showcase of Stark's virtuosity and the expressive capabilities of the euphonium.

The recital will also feature performances by a brass ensemble and a euphonium quartet, including musicians Chris Carrigg, Evan DeRicco, Noah Vincent, and others, under the direction of conductor Imran Amarshi.
