Join us for an enchanting evening of music at the Bienen School of Music, Northwestern University, as we present a student recital featuring the exceptional talents of Alexis Ortega Chavez, Ryan Huo, and Collin Jinks. This special performance is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at 8:30pm CDT in the Regenstein Master Class Room.

Alexis Ortega Chavez, a tenor and Bachelor of Music student, alongside Ryan Huo, a violinist and Master of Music student, and Collin Jinks, a pianist also pursuing a Master of Music, will grace the stage under the guidance of their esteemed instructors Theresa Brancaccio, Blair Milton, and James Giles. The evening's repertoire includes a selection of poignant and evocative pieces:

- Henri Duparc's "Chanson triste"
- A series of Franz Schubert's masterpieces including "Frühlingsglaube," "Nacht und Träume," "Du bist die Ruh," "Der Zwerg," and "Auf dem Wasser zu singen"
- Duparc's "Le manoir de Rosemonde"
- César Franck's "Violin Sonata in A Major"

This event is a celebration of the hard work and dedication of our students and a showcase of their incredible talent and passion for music. Admission is free, and no tickets are required. For those unable to attend in person, we are pleased to offer a live stream of the performance.

The Regenstein Master Class Room, with seating for 200, is located in the Regenstein Hall of Music, adjacent to the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts at 60 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston, IL 60208. This venue hosts hundreds of performances and other events each year, making it a central hub for the musical community at Northwestern University.
