Join us for an evening of exceptional music as Angel Salinas, a talented bass trombone player from the Northwestern Bienen School of Music, presents his Bachelor of Music recital. This captivating performance will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at 8:30pm CDT in the intimate setting of the McClintock Choral and Recital Room.

Under the guidance of esteemed instructors Michael Mulcahy, Randall Hawes, R. Douglas Wright, Timothy Higgins, Christopher Davis, and Reed Capshaw, Angel has prepared a diverse and engaging program. The evening will feature a range of works, including Ernst Sachse's Trombone Concertino, Stjepan Šulek's Sonata Vox Gabrieli, Eugène Bozza's New Orleans, and compositions by Eddie Vinson, Harry Warren, Laufey, Charlie Parker, Horace Silver, Guy B. Wood, and George Shearing.

Angel will be joined by an array of talented musicians, including Oliver Koenig on tenor saxophone, pianists Yoko Yamada-Selvaggio and Brandon Harper, Liam Powers on bass, and Chase Wilkins on drums, ensuring a rich and varied musical experience.

This event is free and open to the public, with no tickets required. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available, allowing you to enjoy the performance from anywhere.
