Join us for an enchanting evening of music as Landon Young, a talented horn player and Master of Music student at the Northwestern Bienen School of Music, presents his recital. This special performance will take place on Saturday, May 25, 2024, at 6:00pm CDT in the Regenstein Master Class Room. Landon, under the guidance of esteemed instructors Gail Williams and Jonathan Boen, will showcase his exceptional skills through a diverse program featuring works by Alfred Reed, Otto Ketting, Kurt Atterberg, Johan de Meij, and a unique arrangement of Catherine Warwick's "Pollyanna I Believe In You" by Jason Wise.

Landon will be accompanied by a gifted ensemble of musicians, including Mara Goree on flute, Ying Jiang on oboe, Ashrey Shah on clarinet, Kathryn Jarvey on bass clarinet, James Smelley on bassoon, and Kay Kim on piano. Together, they will bring to life a captivating selection of pieces, ranging from the whimsical "Scherzo Fantastique" to the profound depths of Atterberg's Sonata in B Minor, Op. 27.

This event is free and open to the public, with no tickets required. For those unable to attend in person, a live stream will be available, ensuring that no one misses out on this remarkable display of musical talent. The Regenstein Master Class Room, located within the Regenstein Hall of Music adjacent to the Ryan Center for the Musical Arts at 60 Arts Circle Drive, Evanston, IL, will serve as the perfect backdrop for an evening dedicated to the celebration of music.
