Join us for an unforgettable evening with the Dover Quartet at the Winter Chamber Music Festival, hosted by the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University. This highly anticipated performance will take place on Friday, January 12, 2024, at 7:30pm CST in the prestigious Pick-Staiger Concert Hall.

The Dover Quartet, celebrated as one of the greatest string quartets of the last century by BBC Music Magazine, will grace the stage as the Quartet-in-Residence. Members Joel Link and Bryan Lee on violin, Julianne Lee on viola, and Camden Shaw on cello, will deliver a performance that promises to be nothing short of flawless. Their repertoire for the evening includes Florence Price's String Quartet No. 1 in G Major, Dmitri Shostakovich's String Quartet No. 9 in E-flat Major, Op. 117, and Franz Schubert's String Quartet No. 14 in D Minor "Death and the Maiden," D. 810.

The Dover Quartet has earned international acclaim, sweeping all the top prizes at the 2013 Banff International String Quartet Competition, and receiving accolades from the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition and the Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition. Their 2023-24 season highlights include a North American tour with Leif Ove Andsnes, performances with Haochen Zhang and David Shifrin, and a tour to Europe.

Tickets are priced at $30 for the general public and $10 for students with valid ID. However, please note that this event is currently sold out.

Pick-Staiger Concert Hall is located at 50 Arts Cir Dr, Evanston, IL 60208, within the Arts Circle on the Evanston campus of Northwestern University. The hall, a cornerstone of the Bienen School of Music since 1975, offers a premier listening experience in its 972-seat auditorium.
