Join us for a magnificent evening of classical music as the Colby Symphony Orchestra & Choirs present the Choral Masterwork concert at the Gordon Center for the Creative and Performing Arts. This jubilant program, scheduled for Saturday, May 4, and Sunday, May 5, at 7:30pm, marks the grand finale of our musical year at Colby College.

This year's Choral Masterwork is a celebration of community and the joy of life through Ludwig van Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9, an epic composition that brings together the orchestra, invited vocal soloists, and the Colby Choirs in a harmonious blend of talent and passion. The concert will also honor the student winner of the annual Music Department Concerto Competition and feature the overture to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s cherished opera buffa, Le Nozze de Figaro.

Set against the backdrop of the Center for the Arts and Humanities theme "Play," this concert promises an evening of vibrant music and celebratory tones, embodying the spirit of collaboration and the power of community through the arts.
