Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center

Join us for an unforgettable day of music and community spirit at the Farmington River Community Jam! This vibrant event is set to take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the scenic Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, located at 22 Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury, CT, 06070, United States.

Whether you're an aspiring musician or a seasoned performer, the Farmington River Community Jam is the perfect opportunity to make music with new friends and showcase your talents. We welcome all ages and abilities to participate in this unique play and sing-along event. From banjos to violins, tubas to trumpets, and even unconventional instruments like paper bags and spoons, any acoustic instrument is welcome. Vocalists are also encouraged to join in the fun!

Please note that no power outlets will be available, so performers should bring their own music stands. Chairs will be provided for your convenience. Once registered, a songbook featuring music from various decades will be emailed to you, ensuring everyone can join in regardless of musical preference. The event will culminate in an open mic session, offering a chance for solo performances and impromptu ensembles.

This community jam is coordinated by guest artists Jason Hamilton of MeadowBlue and Tom LeClerc, promising an afternoon filled with great music and camaraderie. The concert is open to the public, with gates opening at 12:00 pm.
