Join us for a vibrant celebration of culture and community at the Rhythm & Brews Juneteenth Celebration, taking place on Saturday, June 15, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Simsbury Meadows Performing Arts Center, located at 22 Iron Horse Boulevard, Simsbury, CT, 06070, United States. This free community event, hosted by the five Farmington Valley towns of Avon, Canton, Farmington, Granby, and Simsbury, promises an afternoon filled with exceptional music, engaging activities, and delicious local brews.

Featuring performances by the talented Nekita Waller, Magic Soul Academy, and the Damian Curtis Afro-Cuban Jazz Project, the celebration will showcase a diverse range of musical styles, from soulful melodies to vibrant jazz and Afro-Cuban rhythms. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to channel their inner hero at the full-sized LEGO Black Panther Photo Zone and explore their creativity in the LEGO Black Brick play zone, courtesy of Lego Systems Inc.

Highlighting the event is the chance to support Connecticut’s first Black female brewmaster, celebrating her historic accomplishment with a variety of delicious beers available for purchase. This event not only offers a platform to enjoy great music and beer but also to celebrate and support local heroes.

Please note, the event will proceed rain or shine, and all bags are subject to search. No outside alcohol is permitted, but food trucks will be on-site, and picnics are allowed. For the safety and enjoyment of all, several items and behaviors are strictly prohibited on the grounds.
