1930s New York City in the midst of the depression, struggling cab drivers are deciding whether to unionize. The union leader, Lefty, may hold the answer but he is nowhere to be found as we witness the heart-wrenching tales of these workers. Originally produced on Broadway under the auspices of the Group Theatre, which championed realistic acting and contained some of the most influential acting teachers of the last century.
