Caramoor

Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of classical music at the Venetian Theater, as we welcome back the renowned pianist Hélène Grimaud in collaboration with the Orchestra of St. Luke's under the baton of conductor Yue Bao. This special event takes place on Sunday, July 16, 2023, at 4:00pm, featuring a program that includes Ravel's Piano Concerto in G Major, Gabriela Lena Frank's Elegía Andina, and Brahms' Symphony No. 2 in D Major, Op. 73.

Hélène Grimaud, celebrated for her passionate and committed artistry, will enchant the audience with her interpretation of Ravel's jaunty and virtuosic concerto. The concert also showcases the evocative Elegía Andina by Gabriela Lena Frank, a tone poem that draws on Frank's mixed ethnic heritage, and concludes with Brahms' richly melodious Second Symphony.

Prior to the concert, at 3:00pm, attendees will have the opportunity to join a conversation with Yue Bao, offering insights into the day's program. For those seeking a more casual concert experience, Garden Listening tickets are available, allowing guests to enjoy the concert broadcast in the serene setting of Friends Field.

This event is part of Caramoor's summer season, which is accessible via a free shuttle from Metro North’s Katonah train station, ensuring a seamless experience for all attendees. Don't miss this opportunity to experience the magic of classical music in the beautiful surroundings of Caramoor.
