Whether it be as soloist with LA Phil and Gustavo Dudamel, member of yMusic, an acclaimed sextet of winds and strings, co-founder of Duende, a new music and contemporary dance collective, or as co-founder of OWLS, the "inverted quartet" with violinist Alexi Kenney, violist Ayane Kozasa, and cellist/composer Paul Wiancko, Gabriel displays his craft from a variety of angles. Gabriel's album "Lost Coast" from 2021 has been named in NPR Music's "Favorite Albums of 2021" and New York Times' "Classical Album to Hear Right Now". He has also recorded extensively as a studio musician, and is active as an arranger as well. He was honored in 2016 with the Sphinx Organization's Medal of Excellence. Join us as Gabriel discusses his multifaceted career as a 21st century musician.
