Beautiful songs and breathtaking vocal feats are in store in this performance of Mahler’s The Song of the Earth, a spellbinding fusion of ancient Chinese poetry and music. Two-time Grammy Award-winning mezzo soprano Sasha Cooke and tenor Clay Hilley join Music Director Juraj Valčuha and the orchestra, and the concerts open with Qigang Chen’s dreamy Itinerary of an Illusion.
