Join us for an unforgettable evening with the Hawaiʻi Symphony Orchestra (HSO) as we present "Beyond the Music - Transfigured Night" on Thursday, April 13, 2023, from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM at Studio 909, located at 949 Kapiolani Boulevard, Honolulu, HI, 96814. This series finale promises a soul-searching journey through betrayal, forgiveness, and acceptance, under the baton of conductor Mei-Ann Chen, and featuring the evocative music of Arnold Schoenberg's "Transfigured Night" (Verklärte Nacht).

Curated and hosted by HSO's Director of Artistic Engagement and Composer in Residence, Michael-Thomas Foumai, this event invites you to explore the radiant dark forest of the human heart, the spellbinding marriage of poetry and music, and the ties that bind. The program will include excerpts from Arnold Schoenberg’s "Transfigured Night" (Verklärte Nacht), offering a unique opportunity to experience this masterpiece in an intimate setting.

For the safety of our audiences, masks are encouraged, and contact points will be minimized throughout the event. Parking is conveniently located at Blaisdell directly across the street from Studio 909 on the arena side of the lot.

Tickets for this concert are SOLD OUT, but student tickets are available for purchase by calling the HSO Box Office at 808-380-7720, open Monday through Friday, 10am-2pm, or by purchasing in-person beginning 1 hour prior to the performance. A valid student ID or current class schedule is required, and tickets are subject to availability.
