Music Academy Of The West

Celebrate the arrival of spring with the Music Academy of the West's Sing Spring Concert, a vibrant showcase of young talent from Santa Barbara County. This heartwarming event will take place on May 21 at the Marjorie Luke Theatre, starting at 6 pm. The concert features participants from the Music Academy's Sing program, which is a free, after-school children’s choral program available to students in grades 1 to 9. Currently, the program boasts nearly 300 participants from over 40 area schools, making it a significant community event.

The Sing Spring Concert is an opportunity for these young singers to display their hard work and passion for music. The program for the evening includes a diverse range of pieces, from traditional South African and Spanish folk songs to compositions by Franz Schubert and contemporary works by John Lennon & Paul McCartney, arranged for choral performance. The concert promises to be an engaging experience for the audience, with a program duration of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, without an intermission.

Tickets for adults are priced at $10 each, while children under 18 can attend for free. In a special offer, each Sing family is entitled to two free adult tickets, with a promo code provided via Chorus Connection. This initiative ensures that the concert is accessible to everyone, encouraging the community to support these young performers.

For those interested in attending, tickets can be obtained directly from the Music Academy of the West's ticket office or through their official website. This event not only celebrates the talent of young singers but also supports the Music Academy's mission to foster a lifelong love for music. Don't miss this enchanting evening of music and community spirit at the Marjorie Luke Theatre.
