The masterclasses will be led by distinguished bassoonists Dennis Michel and Benjamin Kamins on select dates. Dennis Michel, known for his role as second bassoon of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and his extensive teaching career, will share his expertise during the first half of the festival. Benjamin Kamins, celebrated for his tenure as Principal Bassoon of the Houston Symphony and his contributions to music education at Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music, will take over for the latter part of the series. Both artists bring a wealth of experience and a deep passion for music that promises to inspire both participants and observers alike.

Sessions are scheduled for 1:30 pm in Weinman Hall, with specific dates for each instructor: Dennis Michel on June 20 and June 27, and Benjamin Kamins on July 11 and July 25.
