Music Academy of the West

As part of the celebrated Fellow Fridays Series, this concert promises an eclectic mix of chamber works curated by the Academy's talented fellows, showcasing their favorite pieces across a variety of instrument combinations, genres, and styles.

The program for the evening includes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of music with one intermission, featuring compositions by Sergei Rachmaninoff, Nico Muhly, and Julius Eastman. Highlights include Rachmaninoff's emotive "Trio élégiaque No. 1 in G Minor," Muhly's intricate "Measured to Fit," and Eastman's compelling "Stay On It."

In addition to the concert, attendees are invited to a pre-concert picnic, making for a perfect summer evening of music and relaxation.
