Merit School of Music

The twelfth annual A.N. and Pearl G. Barnett Chamber Music Competition is set to take place on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at the prestigious Anne & Howard Gottlieb Hall within the Merit School of Music, located at 38 S Peoria St., Chicago, IL 60607, United States. This esteemed competition welcomes young musicians aged 18 and under to showcase their talents in two main divisions: Strings and Piano, and Winds, Brass, and Percussion.

Participants will have the opportunity to compete for a total of $11,000 in cash prizes, with awards available for winners in each division, an overall winner, and a special award for the top finishing group from the Merit School of Music.
