Join us for a monumental celebration as the Long Beach Symphony marks its 90th Anniversary with the opening of the 2024-2025 Season. This special event, titled "A NEW WORLD," promises an unforgettable evening of music and history on October 5, 2024, at the Long Beach Terrace Theater, located at 300 E. Ocean Blvd., Long Beach, CA 90802.

The evening kicks off at 6:30 PM with a Pre-Concert Talk, offering insights into the night's programming, followed by the concert beginning at 7:30 PM. Doors will open at 6:00 PM, allowing guests to enjoy the Terrace Theater’s stunning fountains and fire pits, live ensemble performances in the lobby, and the opportunity to sip and enjoy in the concert hall.

Under the baton of Music Director Eckart Preu, and featuring the celebrated baritone Adam Richardson, the concert will open with Beethoven’s Egmont Overture, Op. 84, the very first piece performed by the Symphony in 1934. This will be followed by the West Coast Premiere of Anna Clyne’s "Quarter Days," showcasing the principal string players of the orchestra as soloists. The evening will conclude with Dvořák’s Symphony No. 9, "From The New World," a piece that encapsulates the essence of American spirit and heritage.

This event not only celebrates the Long Beach Symphony's rich history but also looks forward to the future of music with new works and premieres.
