Mozart's Jupiter Symphony, the capstone of his symphonic journey, soars into the heavens, exuding such grandeur and cheery nobility that someone named it after the king of the gods. Russian violinist Alina Ibragimova turns her fiery bow on Mozart's "Turkish" Concerto, so named for the composer's take on Turkish melodies. "Ibragimova has technique to burn," wrote Audiophilia. Guest conductor Jörg Widmann offers a lively opener with his own composition Con brio, "with spirit."

Music Director Nathalie Stutzmann does back-to-back Tchaikovsky. The young Swedish violin sensation Daniel Lozakovich returns after his electrifying 2023 Atlanta debut when ArtsATL noted, "Pure goosebumps for the listener." This time, Lozakovich plays Tchaikovsky's enchanting Violin Concerto. On the second half, Maestro Stutzmann piles on the pathos, drawing on the phenomenal expressive range of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra to deliver Tchaikovsky's impassioned Pathétique Symphony.

Gustav Mahler's Resurrection Symphony probes themes of life and death and the struggle to find meaning – expressed through the composer's unique musical voice. A young man's piece, the Second Symphony packs cataclysmic orchestral shrieks together with folk dances, military bands, and Post-Romantic angels-from-on-high. Get ready for the incredible power of music when Nathalie Stutzmann coaxes the most profound drama out of the world-class Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Chorus, and soloists.
