Join us for an enchanting afternoon at the Opening Matinee of the Skaneateles Festival, marking the commencement of our 45th Season. This special event is scheduled for July 31, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, located at 97 East Genesee St, Skaneateles, NY 13152.

This year's Opening Matinee, titled "Strings of Summer," features a stellar lineup of musicians, including violinist Joe Genualdi, cellist Steven Doane, and harpist Bridget Kibbey. Together, they will weave a tapestry of sound, performing a program that spans the breadth of classical music. The repertoire includes Saint-Saëns' Fantasy for Violin and Harp, Op. 124, Fauré's Serenade, Op. 98, and Debussy's Arabesque No. 1, among other masterpieces.

The venue, the First Presbyterian Church, offers not only a space with outstanding acoustics but also a comfortable and inviting atmosphere with air-conditioned interiors and cushioned church pews. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis, with doors opening at 12:30 pm to welcome guests.
