This captivating concert, set against the elegant backdrop of Perth Concert Hall, promises to be a highlight of the musical calendar on Wednesday, 9th October 2024, at 7:30 pm.

Under the baton of the multi-talented Lera Auerbach, a modern-day genius whose prowess spans conducting, piano, composition, and beyond, the RSNO will bring to life a repertoire that bridges the classical and contemporary. The evening will commence with Haydn's stirring "Overture to L’isola disabitata," followed by Mozart's deeply emotional "Piano Concerto No. 20 K466," a piece so rich in expression that it continues to resonate with audiences centuries after its premiere. Auerbach herself will grace the piano, offering a performance that promises to be both a tribute and a personal reflection on Mozart's genius.

The concert will also feature Auerbach's own "Eterniday (Homage to W.A. Mozart)" and her adaptation of Haydn's "Symphony No. 49 La Passione," showcasing her unique ability to weave historical reverence with contemporary insight. This event is not just a concert but a journey through the evolution of musical expression, led by one of today's most compelling creative voices.
