Following this, the orchestra will perform Johannes Brahms' Rondo alla zingarese, a piece celebrated for its frenzied rhythms and dance-like qualities. A highlight of the evening will be the world premiere of Joanna Lee's beams.bellows.bounds, a work commissioned especially for this event. This piece will feature a collaboration between LSO musicians and 70 young musicians from East London, part of the LSO Discovery programmes, showcasing talent across a range of abilities. The concert will conclude with Igor Stravinsky's magical score for the ballet Petrushka, a work that promises to transport the audience with its storytelling and intricate orchestration.

For those unable to attend in person, the concert will be live-streamed on the LSO’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, with the performance available to watch on demand from the end of July until October. This ensures that music lovers around the world can partake in this spectacular event.
