Under the baton of the world-renowned conductor Sir Simon Rattle, this event marks a significant moment in the orchestra's history, celebrating 25 years since Claudio Abbado, the MCO's Founding Mentor, first conducted our ensemble.

The evening's programme is dedicated to the genius of W. A. Mozart, featuring his last three symphonies: Symphony No. 39 in E-flat major, K. 543; Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550; and Symphony No. 41 in C major, K. 551, known as the Jupiter Symphony. These pieces represent the pinnacle of Mozart's symphonic work, offering a journey from the expansive and majestic opening of the 39th Symphony, through the dramatic depths of the 40th, to the sublime heights of the Jupiter Symphony.
