The hills are alive again with The Sound of Music In Concert at the von Trapp Family Lodge Concert Meadow! After a sold-out run in 2024, we’re returning to the Green Mountain hills to bring Rodgers & Hammerstein’s legendary music to where it was destined to be heard. These performances of The Sound of Music In Concert are conducted by VSO’s Music Director Andrew Crust, and are brought to you by Lyric Theatre Company and the Vermont Symphony Orchestra, and are produced in partnership with von Trapp Family Lodge and Resort, The Flynn, and Stowe Performing Arts. In case of inclement weather, performances will take place at The Flynn in Burlington.

Join us at the Flynn Center for an unforgettable evening with the sensational Durand Bernarr, as part of the 2024 Burlington Discover Jazz Festival. This free event is set to take place at the picturesque Waterfront Park on Friday, June 7, 2024, at 7:00 PM.

Durand Bernarr, with a sound described as "gangster musical theatre" by Qveen Herby, blends the flamboyance of Little Richard with the funk of Rick James, topped with powerhouse vocals and witty lyrical storytelling. Dubbed as "your favorite singer’s favorite singer," Bernarr has collaborated with music legends and contemporary icons alike, including Earth, Wind & Fire, The Internet, Anderson .Paak, and Erykah Badu. His 2020 album "DUR&" soared to the #1 spot on the Apple Music R&B charts, featuring collaborations with Ari Lennox, KAYTRANADA, and more.
