Join us for an evening of inspiration and exceptional music at the "Inspirational Women - Ascent Music" event, part of the Ascent Summer Concert Series. This special concert will take place on July 10th from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at The Chapel at Western Reserve Academy, located at 147 College St., Hudson, OH 44236.

The program celebrates the groundbreaking contributions of female composers to classical music, featuring works by Rebecca Clarke, Florence Price, and Amy Beach—pioneers who forged paths in a male-dominated field. The evening will conclude with Robert Schumann’s Piano Quintet, a piece dedicated to his wife Clara Schumann, herself an accomplished pianist and composer.

Performances will be delivered by a stellar lineup of musicians, including Ilya Kaler (violin), Sarah Kim (cello), Judith Ingolfsson (violin), Michael Linville (piano), Karla Donohew Perez (violin), Masumi Per Rostad (viola), and Alan Rafferty (cello).
