The evening features the exceptional talents of Tamsin Waley-Cohen on violin and Cordelia Williams on piano, performing a carefully curated selection of pieces that resonate with the theme of dusk. The program includes J.S. Bach's Duo Sonata for Violin & Keyboard in F minor, BWV1018, a piece celebrated by Bach's son as one of his father's finest works. The concert will also feature Arvo Pärt's profoundly beautiful "Spiegel im Spiegel (Mirror in the Mirror)," a minimalist masterpiece, and Robert Schumann's Violin Sonata No.2 in D minor, Op.121, a work overflowing with noble passion and declared one of the finest compositions of its time.
