El Teatro Campesino

El Teatro Campesino proudly presents the Annual Palabra Artist Showcase, a vibrant celebration of the arts featuring spoken word, poetry, music, teatro, and more. This event, directed and produced by the talented artists of El Teatro Campesino, is set to take place from July 12th to 14th, 2024, at the ETC Playhouse in San Juan Bautista.

This year's showcase is themed around the concept of COMMUNITY, exploring its various dimensions, dynamics, and impacts on individuals and society. We are currently accepting submissions from playwrights, poets, musicians, visual artists, dancers, and beyond. If you have a short work that delves into the theme of community, we invite you to submit it for consideration. The submission window is open until May 18th, with an online submission form available for your convenience.

Key dates for participants include the submission period from May 4th to May 18th, notification of selected works in the first week of June, general in-person rehearsal dates from June 27th to July 7th, and full company rehearsals from July 9th to July 14th. The showcase performances are scheduled for July 12th and 13th at 8:00 PM, and July 14th at 2:00 PM.

To be considered for this unique opportunity, complete the online submission form with your work in accepted formats such as video, audio, or PDF documents. You may submit up to two pieces, each with a maximum length of 10 minutes.
