The Pomona College Jazz Ensemble, directed by Barb Catlin, presents “Spaces” a special concert for Alumni weekend. Miles Davis famously said, “It’s not the notes you play, it’s the notes you don’t play,” and with that in mind, the ensemble’s program explores music that seeks out these spaces where creativity and trust live in improvisational settings.
