#### About the Event:
Join us for an unforgettable evening of bluegrass music with Michael Cleveland & Flamekeeper. Widely considered the bluegrass fiddler of his generation, GRAMMY award-winner Michael Cleveland has been recognized 12 times as the International Bluegrass Music Association’s (IBMA) Fiddle Player of the Year. In 2018, he was inducted into the National Fiddlers Hall of Fame.

From an early age, Michael Cleveland was immersed in old-time and bluegrass music, attending local jams and festivals near his hometown of Henryville, Indiana. After graduating from high school, Cleveland began playing professionally and in 2006, he realized his dream of leading his own band by forming Flamekeeper. The band, which includes talented musicians Josh Richards, Nathan Livers, Jasiah Shrode, and Chris Douglas, has been honored seven times with the IBMA’s Instrumental Group of the Year award.

The performance will take place in the Foellinger Great Hall, a premier venue known for its exceptional acoustics and intimate atmosphere, located within the Krannert Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
