**Event Overview:**
Join us for an evocative performance by Nile Harris, titled "minor b," as part of The Shed's Open Call series. This choreographed event is described as a symphony of low vibrations and is a workshop production featuring four performers. The piece delves into a minor black behavior that defies capitalization and respectability, using the life of jazz cornetist Buddy Bolden as a theoretical foundation. Bolden, a musician from the early 20th century who spent much of his life in a mental asylum, serves as a metaphor for the constraints and imposed neutrality often found in black box theaters.

Admission to Open Call events is free with a ticket reservation. Members receive early access to reservations starting Tuesday, July 16. Reservations for the general public will be available on Thursday, July 18. For sold-out performances, an in-person waitlist will be available 15 minutes before the show begins.
