His final Piano Concerto, the “Emperor” is one of his noblest, from its bold opening movement through the hushed and haunting Adagio to the dazzling finale. Hear it performed by Van Cliburn International Piano Competition Gold Medalist Haochen Zhang. This dazzling program ends with Beethoven’s Symphony No. 7, a lyrical, joyous call to dance.
