Bizet’s musical tale of a Gypsy factory-worker who seduces a military corporal before discarding him for the more glamorous toreador has all the ingredients of a tightly sprung operatic drama. Anja Bihlmaier conducts Glyndebourne’s fine cast and chorus, along with the London Philharmonic Orchestra.
