**Event Details:**
Florida Theatre and Theatre Jacksonville proudly present an in-concert production of the beloved Broadway musical, *Mame*. Set in mid-20th century New York City, the story follows the eccentric and bohemian Mame Dennis, whose glamorous life is upended by the arrival of her late brother's young son. The narrative spans from the beginning of the Great Depression through World War II, featuring iconic songs such as "We Need a Little Christmas," "Bosom Buddies," "If He Walked Into My Life," and the titular "Mame."

This special in-concert production will feature a full 26-piece orchestra on stage, accompanied by a 30-member chorus. The orchestra will be conducted by Jacksonville native Joey Chancey, whose impressive Broadway credits include *An American in Paris*, *Beautiful: The Carole King Musical*, *Gigi*, and *Annie*.

**Starring:**
- **Linda Purl as Mame:** Known for her Broadway roles in *The Adventures of Tom Sawyer* and *Getting and Spending*, and her screen roles as Ashley Pfister on *Happy Days*, Helene Beesly on *The Office*, and Charlene Matlock on *Matlock*.
- **Dorothy Bishop as Vera Charles:** A Jacksonville native, Bishop has appeared in the first Broadway national tour of Terrence McNally’s *Master Class* opposite Faye Dunaway and is renowned in NYC for her long-running cabaret hit, *The Dozen Divas Show*.

Local performers, selected through an open audition on April 20, will join these guest artists on stage.
