More details
When a composer writes a concerto, they stretch a performer to the very limit – and reveal something of themselves, too. Béla Bartók and Grazyna Bacewicz put the whole orchestra on dazzling display, while Dvořák’s Violin Concerto places one particular player up front and lets them sing and dance for joy.
