1. **Melody Eötvös - The Saqqara Bird:** Australian composer Melody Eötvös draws inspiration from an ancient Egyptian artifact, a bird model carved from sycamore, discovered in a tomb. The purpose of this artifact remains a mystery, sparking the imagination for this piece.
2. **Prokofiev - Piano Concerto No.2:** This challenging concerto, composed when Prokofiev was just 22, showcases the prodigious talent of pianist Sylvia Jiang as she returns to perform with her hometown orchestra.
3. **Rimsky-Korsakov - Scheherazade:** A beloved suite that serves as a fabulous orchestral showpiece, inspired by the enchanting tales of the 1001 Nights.
