Prior to the release of Kind of Blue, Miles was busy in the studio, working with the same line-up of musicians. In 1958 the album ’58 Miles was released, setting the stage for the world’s greatest jazz album of all time the following year. Phelps and his hand-picked line-up feature music from both albums.
