Looking for something to do on a Friday night?  The National Theatre at The Ritz will host an eclectic selection of artists in an unplugged performance environment. Each Friday Night Live will feature two or three regional entertainers that may include a folk singer, a jazz musician, an aspiring singer/songwriter or some other style of artist who is passionate about the opportunity to showcase their talents. Join us for a glass of wine in this casual, intimate setting.

Inspired by a true story, Radium Girls traces the efforts of Grace Fryer, a dial painter, as she fights for her day in court. Her chief adversary is her former employer, Arthur Roeder, an idealistic man who cannot bring himself to believe that the same element that shrinks tumors could have anything to do with the terrifying rash of illnesses among his employees. Written with warmth and humor, Radium Girls is a fast-moving, highly theatrical ensemble piece.

Into the Blue is an 11 piece Electric Light Orchestra tribute band bringing ELO’s smash hits to Northeast Ohio. With strings from the Tuscarawas Philharmonic and band members who perform from the heart, their audience will experience authentic sounds that will take them back to an era when rock and roll was king! ELO hits include “Evil Woman,” “Livin’ Thing,” “Don’t Bring Me Down” and “Strange Magic.”

Red Letter Daze is an award-winning female vocal quartet known for their intricate harmonies, dynamic vocal styles, and fresh approach to vocal jazz and a cappella. Founded in 2020, the group—featuring MaryAnne Muglia, Celine Durney, Darby Lestin and Emily Drum – came together through friendships in the a cappella community. Since then, they have amassed over 300,000 followers and millions of views across social media, captivating audiences with their unique and refreshing jazz-pop sound.

Peter Knight is grinding out a murder story in an old mansion where another author was murdered years before. A weird electrical storm effects a cosmic snafu and his characters come to life. There’s the lovely ingenue, the trusty butler, a feisty character woman, a dauntless hero, a fascinating “other woman,” the always pregnant serving girl, and the wily lawyer waiting for midnight to read the will. Peter loses control of his characters and there is a murder; the intended victim is Peter. Can Peter find the killer before the killer gets his author? Is romance with the ingenue leading anywhere? Where is the fortune mentioned in the will? All is solved ingeniously with romance, suspense and cosmic wit.

From the Toledo Symphony, The Bezonian Trio has been a regular feature on chamber music series throughout Northwest Ohio for over 20 years. Consisting of pianist Michael Boyd, TSO cellist Damon Coleman and TSO principal 2nd violinist, Merwin Siu, the trio performs a wide variety of pieces ranging from the heart of the piano trio repertoire to energetic and inventive transcriptions. The name Bezonian is taken from a Shakespearean word meaning scoundrel, and first used in Henry VI, Part II: ‘Great men oft die by vile bezonians.’ This trio of scoundrels instead hopes to bring great music to life through provocative programming, friendly conversation and lively performances.

9 to 5 The Musical, is based on the seminal 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s. this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female coworkers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down.
