Cellist Yo-Yo Ma and pianist Kathryn Stott, longtime friends and collaborators, offer an afternoon filled with musical intimacy and expressive fireworks. Their program encompasses two contrasting cello sonatas by Franck and Shostakovich, the lilting warmth of Dvořák’s Songs My Mother Taught Me, the meditative beauty of Pärt’s “Mirror in Mirror” and lyrical gems by Fauré and Sérgio Assad.
