No composer mines the depths of the human experience more fearlessly or wholeheartedly than Tchaikovsky, and his beloved Fifth Symphony surges with unbridled passion, candid emotion, and balletic grace on its journey from darkness to light. Houston Symphony Artistic Partner Itzhak Perlman leads these performances, which also feature treasured music from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons and George Walker’s deeply moving Lyric for Strings.
