In a tongue-in-cheek quip, Brahms described his Second Piano Concerto as “a tiny, tiny pianoforte concerto, with a tiny, tiny wisp of a scherzo.” Approaching the dimensions of a symphony, full of nobility and brilliance, the monstrously difficult work will be performed by the world-renowned Austrian pianist, Rudolf Buchbinder.
