Tonight, the “Prologue” of Wagner’s masterpiece The Ring of the Nibelung sets the mighty saga in motion and prepares you for what is to come: the conflict between love and power, and, ultimately, redemption through love. You’ll be plunged into the depths of the Rhine and hear the seductive siren song of the Rhine maidens; shudder at the curse placed on the possessor of all-power-giving ring of gold; fear for the folly of the gods as they traverse...
