Professor Woland and his bizarre entourage—a redheaded witch, a mischievous cat, and a suit-wearing demon—are on a mission to expose the hypocrisy of the city’s literary elite and art scene. Set against the backdrop of Stalin’s regime, Master & Margarita explores the blurred lines between reality and the supernatural. Interwoven with themes of love and religion, Bulgakov’s satire questions the very nature of good and evil.
