More details
Founded in 1994, the ensemble has enjoyed a steady rise to international renown, notably with performances of music from its Czech homeland. Here it includes Smetana’s moving autobiographical work (1876), which alludes to the composer’s growing deafness, and the third of Beethoven’s quartets (1806) written in response to a commission from Russia’s ambassador to Vienna.
