Sitar is one of the most traditional and popular instruments in the realm of Indian Classical music. Having 20 Strings, the playing on this instrument is characterised by meend(slides) between two musical notes that conveys the emotions of the human voice. The music is based on melodic structures called Ragas which have been a part of repertoire since ancient times. He will be accompanied on the tabla, another popular Indian instrument.
