If you close your eyes, you’ll be able to picture the rolling English countryside – here, the sound of Mercury’s gorgeous strings will truly shine in a concert that features English greats: like Edward Elgar, whose Elegy contains some of his most beautiful music – an extraordinary and deeply moving piece written when he was wracked with grief after the loss of a close friend. If you love Elgar’s Enigma Variations, this is the concert for you.
