More details
Bach’s secular orchestral music has been a favorite of organists for centuries, but it wasn’t until Mendelssohn led a revival in the mid-19th century that it began to delight audiences more broadly. The performance will feature some of J.S. Bach’s most famous melodies from those orchestral works, each originally written to be performed with Bach himself at the keyboard for his peers, friends, and family at the Collegium Musicum in Leipzig.
