Simone Dinnerstein brings her “strikingly original ideas” (The Washington Post) to Mozart’s tender and poignant Piano Concerto No. 23. Lyric for Strings, American composer George Walker’s idyllic lament and Beethoven’ shocking first symphonic outing create a season-ending program which is meditative and exhilarating in equal parts.
