The composer C.E.F. Weyse is known for his beautiful melodies for songs such as I østen stiger solen op and Julen har bragt velsignet bud. He is also known for his notorious reluctance to travel, and indeed he never left Denmark after coming to Copenhagen at the age of 15. So apart from some regular destinations to Roskilde and Vallø, his travels were on foot around old Copenhagen.
