Conducting a symphony orchestra is not something you just do – it is a subject that must be learned – and therefore it is crucial that young conducting students get the opportunity to work with a professional symphony orchestra during their education. Sønderjylland's Symphony Orchestra holds conducting seminars every year, where young conducting students, with the advice and guidance of experienced conductors, have the opportunity to learn and develop their conducting skills. This time the seminar ends with an open rehearsal, so that the audience also has the opportunity to get to know new young conductors and maybe even find a young conductor whose career they want to follow in the future.
