Bartok and Beethoven: Contrasts

Our 9th season opens with a celebration of contrasting styles, moods, and eras. Bartók’s “Contrasts,” ripe with folk dance melodies from his native Hungary and commissioned by jazz clarinetist Benny Goodman, begins the concert with a bang.
